[Can any carpenters or house builders here explain why the outlet doesn't appear to be attached to a stud? Did the "burglar" cut away the bottom of the stud? Or...? 🤷🏻‍♀️]

Cement blocks in the walls looks to me like they were hiding cash.

So in third world countries they cement cash so rodents don’t nest with it .

This is typical criminal behavior.

Some outlet boxes (plastic) don’t require a stud for mounting as they have tabs that will rotate outward to retain said box against the backside of whatever wall material is being utilized. Hope this helps.
