In New York State, Boralex a French company, is seeking to put solar panels on land that is protected grasslands that you aren’t even allowed to walk on certain times of the year.This land is under the stewardship and control of the NYS DEC. NY state Office of Renewable Energy Siting (ORES) is pushing this through for the Boralex corporation. Boralex is a foreign company, and Governor Hochul has just passed legislation granting foreign solar companies a lower tax rate. ORES steamrolls over all zoning, land protections, easements, private property rights,with no accountability or recourse from the people. The young lady who has been fighting this has gone to ORES offices, no one is there. They do not respond to messages. ORES is unreachable by email, phone call or in person. Another NY government organization takes phones messages for them that are never returned. Who are they? Who is funding this takeover of farm land and protected grasslands all over NY state? It looks like a shell organization. This seems to be corruption at the highest levels in NY state. Here is the gal that has been fighting them.
