Some FReepers may still be here who remember Rush Limbaugh reading the account of the Plymouth Colony by its leader Bradford. He read the entire account of the Thanksgiving, and the Pilgrims were thanking the Natives, for having rescued them from sure starvation.
Incorporated in the reading by Rush (which may be available in recorded form) is the story of how intial socialistic agriculture and organization resulted in utter failure to provide for themselves, and the institution of private profit making gardens resulted in the saving of the colony— including using the techniques taught to them by the Natives. The could not have made it without that knowledge passed on.
This article— from 2021!!! is a Waste of “greenie” RED crapola about the woulda shoulda, coulda mentality of greenie morons who could not support themselves on their communes— well documented.
Find Rush’s reading of William Bradford (who is definitely NOT cited in this “green” matter pile of vegan dung.
I did not, nor do i, need Rush to tell of the original Plymouth experiences.
No doubt it was a great event, his reading.
My ancestors, one who was Edward Winslow, passed down the stories to his descendants.
Am heartily sick and tired of these banshees and narcissistic children looking for attention.
And BTW, the whole Plymouth experience had a political tint to it.
As for the first Thanksgiving. It was a gathering of both indian and settlers that lasted a few days and they ate largely what was gathered round about.
There is no celebration of land taking in the pilgrim one.
The official one we celebrate today was started as a celebration of giving thanks for having defeated the British.
Thank you. I came here to post this.
I teach my children that Thanksgiving is a celebration of Capitalism over Socialism. this green weenie chick doesn’t know sh*t from shinola.
