Honestly, I do feel some sympathy for those who have tried to continue with Scouting. I know each troop can kind of set its own rules, but they way the parent organization has done this leaves people who don’t want to swallow those “guidelines” little room to maneuver.
In the end, it reminds me a bit of the “You knew I was a snake when you picked me up” kind of thing.
Sad.
I think of the father or grandfather for whom it was so meaningful and now have to explain why it has become so disgusting.
