Around here, we have chess pie or what some call transparent pie. Its an Appalachian thing:
pie crust
9” Pie Pan
1 ½ stick butter
1 ½ cup sugar
2 eggs
3 tablespoons flour
4 ½ tablespoons milk
2 tsp vanilla
beat to batter
425 10 - 15
350 20 - 30 or until custard not runny
I like the butter ratio. Always a good start.
