Living in the apartment complex are many (Asian)Indians. You see them in the neighborhood and you see their kids waiting for the school bus in the morning. I'd wager my life savings that they all work in the many high tech companies we have in our metro area (the four complexes are very close to a commuter rail station).
My best friend is an attorney and her subdivision of million dollar homes is over half Indian and they are getting ready to build a budest temple on the highway in front of the SD. They are all Indians working the tech jobs. Of course they bring the whole famdamily and then they all get jobs.
You would be right about some of them but due to chain migration every techie can bring is mother and father, who then can bring their other children, who bring their spouses, who bring …….
End result is the vast majority are poor and unskilled, none of them here to assimilate, and most consuming more social services than they contribute.
Along the Cambridge/Boston/Seaport arc of questionable Tech firms.
