I clearly blamed globalism, but was specific in how it was to blame, in that it allowed the billionaire elites to fatten themselves at the expense of the working glass.
Globalism, in itself, does not happen in a vacuum. It is the result of actions be being taken, by some, who have the ability to make it happen, or not. The American consumer bears some responsibility for purchasing foreign goods, over domestic ones, the most obviously damaging one being the purchase of foreign cars, which is one of the largest purchases most people make.
But by far the greatest blame for globalism goes to those at the top, who own or run our biggest companies. They all got filthy rich off it, so for them it was a great thing, that they made happen, on purpose.
And taxing the working class, via tariffs, is not going to proved successful in curbing it, either. That will only further hurt the middle class, who is already revolting over how they have raised the cost of everything, and the tariffs are already being reduced. Tariffs are simply a tax, and could be effective in stopping globalism if they were specifically focused on globalist company profits, instead of the working man, but that’s not about to happen.
I came across a post-war speech by Oswald Mosley, of all people.
Sadly, by casting his lot with Hitler, he pretty much blew his credibility, but damn he was a good orator. And he nailed it about Globalism here.

Ok raise the tariff and reduce income taxes. Oh and the consumer is not at fault global eagle. It’s not like we voted on selling out or importing goods. We had no choice.
It’s better to have a job and pay $1000 for a tv then to have no job and no money to buy the same tv that is priced at $800.
