Circa 1958 I well remember a bunch of us kids would get together to trade comic books. Each would bring in 30 or 40 comic books. I wonder how much they would be worth today?

Yep, I had a full size paper grocery bag filed with BB cards that were collected from 1965 to 1971. Wild guess 2000+ cards. Zero recollection who tossed them. Without a doubt 2 or three Nolan Ryan / Jerry Koosman Cards went into the trash. Many other rookie HOF cards as well. Certainly a 20k plus $ bag went to the Brea CA dump.
