we have one never use it
I use the DW to hold the dishes as they dry from hand washing. About every month I will run a load to make sure the moisture is dried and it is cleaned. If I still had kids around though, it would be worn out.
It’s been decades since I didn’t have a dishwasher. I’d be bereft without one. I hope mine lasts another 10 years.
