Stevie Nicks' abortion isn't a success story. It's a cautionary tale.

"With Lindsay [Buckingham] and me, had — we'd been broken up for two or three years. It would have been a nightmare scenario for me to live through."

Tell me it isn't a sacrifice to convenience with saying it was convenient. Are we supposed to clap for her? (Spit)

I will say a prayer that the souls she destroys find peace.

Agreed. A true feminist would say that abortions kept Nicks in a situation where she was constantly on drugs and sexually abused. But today’s feminists aren’t for real women’s rights.

When she dies and meets the soul of the child she killed I wonder if she’ll believe the success was worth it. I asked a woman that once and was nearly assaulted. Made my day.

“access to abortion made her life, her art, and her voice possible.”

I’m not even able to guess how old she is but if she makes it to, say, eighty, she’s going to have a very different perspective on her life, art and voice. The elderly folk I know, their only concern is their family or lack of it.

So if you’re going to be selfish, and you plan to live long...plan carefully.

Funny thing is I contributed a small bit to her worldly reward as I had the Rumours album and saw them live back around 1977 at a stadium show. I remember some people commenting after that she sounded a bit drunk. That was it though. I never followed her much during her solo career.

The Lord has taken those babies to be with Him forever. We can only hope she, like every sinner, repents and makes Jesus Lord of her life and is forgiven.

"To give up four babies is to give up a lot that would be here now. So that bothers me, a lot, and really breaks my heart. But they’re gone, so… " she said, trailing off before adding, "But I couldn’t have because I was too busy. And I had all these commitments."

I wonder, now that this "career" is basically over, would she have preferred to be surrounded by 4 loving children and perhaps many more grandchildren over a trophy for being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Lindsey Buckingham was the musical genius of the group.

You mean Peter Green.

Christine McVie was much more talented than Stevie.

She said Fleetwood Mac would not have existed

Something tells me both the world and music would have continued on quite well without them. When the definitive history of music is written, most pop artists like Fleetwood Mac won't even merit a mention, despite their inflated view of themselves.

Fleetwood Mac sat in the middle of the scale between "quick, turn that up" and "quick, change stations." An overrated band IMO, although with a cool name.

Fleetwood Mac was named for Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. Like Steely Dan, with Becker and Fagen, it was those two guys, and a revolving set of musicians throughout the years.

Christine was the other main creative force of the group during that time along with Buckingham. Definitely more talented than Nicks.

And where did she end up? -fabulously wealthy, celebrated and honored - yet alone, husbandless and childless.

I’ll take the husband and children and live my boring middle-class life as an unheralded unknown.
