The surest thing to a sure bet on Verbinski is that he will strive for something original. If you think the sequel/prequel/spinoff/riding a stale IP into the ground thing is part of Hollywood’s problem, that counts for something.
Verbinski at least is willing to take chances. He’s had some misses, along with huge successes and some critically very well received films that underperformed at the box office. But he will at least try to swing big.
I really liked that cure for wellness. Reminded me of a sorta modern day hammer film productions gothic horror thing.
