They predicted an ice age 50 years ago. I guess since nothing else worked they thought they’d go for a rerun.

I remember that. I could be wrong, but I always thought global cooling didn’t get the traction that the communists of the world wanted, so they switched tactics, and decided they would try global warming, to see if people would accept it.
