The catch is that you have to live long enough to see how your grandchildren turned out.

having raised 4 of my own, I can say with near certainty that the key is to explain to them very carefully what you believe and WHY you believe it. This arms them to be able to defend those beliefs when they are eventually challenged about them (usually at college)

But I will have to see what happens with the grandkids :)
