Some people run drugs.
Some people play Russian Roulette ...
Considering the source, l doubt they were following “accepted journalistic standards”.
The source doesn't matter. It's a long accepted convention that was used here properly, was my point, and not necessarily a sign of disrespect or hostility just because the Left employs it.
I thought it was obvious that l saw the point you were making but perhaps you had difficulty seeing mine.
No, I understood perfectly that you were assigning motives to the writers because you assumed that, since they were New York Times writers, they must be Lefties. That's likely true, but they were still using proper journalistic protocol.
Then you are correct and Hegseth is wrong?
I get the impression you could get into a three hour debate about the diameter of a pinhead.
What are you talking about?
According to the article Hegseth defined them in terms of “Suspected Drug Boats”.
But you speak of them in terms of, “unlawful combatants of a designated terror group”
A SUSPECT warrants further investigation according to standard law, whereas an UNLAWFUL PERSON has already been found to be guilty of crime. So Hegseth condones killing people riding in a suspicious vessel, rather than only those riding in one that is beyond a doubt carrying weapons of mass destruction to our coasts?
whereas an UNLAWFUL PERSON has already been found to be guilty of crime.
DTO members are guilty of a crime.
