It is true Charlie was not happy about it—but he was learning he had to figure out a way to deal with it.

That's gibberish. Charlie couldn't stand him or his views. Whether there were some guys gaming in their parents' basement who happened to like both of them just because they like conflict doesn't make them the kind of people with whom the GOP should be associated. They will cost us far more votes than they gain.

And regardless of the effect on votes, treating those views as anything other than abhorrent is just morally wrong.
