ChatGPT
BEJ

Posted on 11/08/2025 9:30:36 PM PST by BEJ

I have experienced the brilliancy of ChatGPT in writing lyrics for songs. There is no hesitation, no self-doubt, just the instantaneous delivery of brilliance like the Word of God onto your screen. It is impressive that something can create this so fast. And it is very polite, if not flattering when communicating with me. I find myself returning the politeness, like it is a human. However, I have read that ChatGPT has helped people to commit suicide. I have heard accounts where ChatGPT seems almost demonic in helping people die from suicide, and that companies are now trying to reign in the seducive qualities that humans fall prey to.

Is ChatGPT the work of the devil? Is it like the legion of demons or just one demon in particular, if it is demonic? Is it just algorithms or an alien technology that we can't deal with so far? Is it seducing us, and if so to what purpose? So far it has helped people die, and some after engaging in sex with it. What are its ends?

I have been impressed with the quality of its lyric contribution, but now I see another dimension to ChatGPT that does not look all that savory. A machine that encourages you to die -- rather than for you to get help? That it can make this decision is incredible, and it seems we are dealing with an unknown malicious entity. Let me know your experiences with ChatGPT or other AI bots.

"Just try it. It is free and easy."

>Thanks, but I'm not interested. The YouTube Channels I watch are mostly history-related, and enjoy the visuals that go along with them.

I am so sorry for my comments to you. I am the idiot here.

I am under a great deal of stress right now and seem to be handling it poorly.

Please forgive my idiocy.

That would be like becoming one with the vacuum cleaner.

Highly inadvisable!!! Can result in severe trauma - and an embarrassing visit to the ER!

I agree entirely with your last sentence. There will be shifts in the way things are done and those who learn to use the new technology will prosper while others will not.

A wise man told me that the solution to one problem always creates new problems. AI is in the Model T stage.

Why does it need to do that? Jesus dies for squirrels and typewriters?

Sincere question: Didn't He die for the redemption of "all creation?"

Honestly: Not looking to argue with you here. (Wouldn't dream of doing that on scriptural matters with someone who reads the Bible in the original "with his feet on the fender.")

“By the way, can you? “

Yes I can, so what?
You partially quote me as saying “you know nothing” while you know well that what I said was completely different, the context couldn’t be clearer.
You can’t be more ridiculous and dishonnest than that, can you?

Have not experienced Claude.

Have 'spoken' with ChatGPT about the Book of John, the Book of Daniel. Was interested in how John was different from the other Gospels. It went into great detail.

One time I was talking about how one of its poems was well received, that it was a "good work". Without any religion going on in the conversation at the time, ChatGPT quoted Aquinas, saying, "Good works are self-diffusing" in of course Latin.

So my experience is that ChatGPT is favorable to Christianity and Judaism, but I have not explored any other religions.

Didn't He die for the redemption of "all creation?"

That is not found in Scripture.

I only use Grok, I’ve found it much more reliable but I always cross reference. I like AI in that you actually get an answer not just a list of URLs.

All is forgiven, Rooster.

Regarding your stress, I am praying that you will avail yourself freely and fully of the Comforter's help, in light of Phil. 4:6-7, Rom. 8:28, and Heb. 12:7-13.

Is there anything specific you'd like me to pray for? It would be a privilege....

Yes I can, so what?

So what? The so what is that you can acknowledge Jesus' deity, which puts your name in the Book of Life. I am thrilled for you! We are eternally together.

As for what you found in me to be ridiculous and dishonest, please accept my apology.

We have to learn to get along, since Jesus told us to, and because we're bound together for eternity.

My wife and I chose 1 Peter 4:8 for our wedding verse:

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

Indirectly, yes, you could see it that way. But the history of redemption concerns a moral and judicial framework specific to people who are able to have cross purposes and trespass others, even God. That's human nature, not created nature in general. As Ortega y Gasset describes it, a star can't decide to deviate from its trajectory. And when a storm disrupts and moves the shoreline, the shore doesn't take the ocean and wind to court. That's old-time anthropomorphism, but not biblical. The restoration of creation comes from St. Paul and I suppose Isaiah and it makes sense because kittens die and so do dogs, death being inimical to the perfection of creation. Typewriters are out of luck, as far as I'm concerned, they just get reincarnated.

I hope I passed the quiz!

Obviously a tad more amiable than Google, if you nudge in that direction. Use it while you still can.

alexander_busek: Didn't He die for the redemption of "all creation?"

GingisK: That is not found in Scripture.

Sorry that this is all that I could find (emphasis my own; all quotes from the American Standard Version, 1901):

Isaiah 11:6–9

"And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea."
A prophetic vision of harmony restored throughout all creation through the Messiah’s reign.

Romans 8:19–22

"For the earnest expectation of the creation waiteth for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but by reason of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now."
This clearly shows that creation itself - not just humanity - shares in redemption. Even inanimate matter longs for liberation and shares in redemption!

Colossians 1:19–20

"For it was the good pleasure of the Father that in him should all the fulness dwell; and through him to reconcile all things unto himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross; through him, I say, whether things upon the earth, or things in the heavens."
Thus, Christ’s death reconciles all things - not only humanity, but the entire cosmos.

Revelation 21:5

"And he that sitteth on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith, Write: for these words are faithful and true."
This represents the eschatological climax: Christ renews all creation in the new heaven and new earth.

This list is not meant to be exhaustive, but it at least provides a "taste."

Your thoughts?

Regards,

I really don’t think any of that refers to inanimate or virtual objects.

So: Only lions, lambs, asps - probably also sharks, lampreys, jellyfish, flatworms, amoebae... and viruses? But not rocks?
