Secularism doesn't get enough scrutiny in these discussions. It pushes you to live your life by way of self-will, whitewashes the classical vocabulary of virtue and vice out of public consciousness, fosters jadedness then skepticism if not cynicism about other people, encourages casual contempt for humble truths and abstract detachment from real culture, is unduly fascinated with the phenomenon of psychological pliability and the dark uses of gimmickry to gain advantage, giving rise to entire industries centered around the systematization of temptation...
And we have government school to make sure that a society where people adhere to different religious teachings cannot continue naturally because that would just be too dangerous ??????
