I even remember there was some lawsuit, claiming job discrimination of lower caste Indians (Dalits?) in the US companies.
The Indians I knew, were almost all from the highest caste (brahmins), few from the second highest caste.
Nobody below that!

Agreed. Much like the people in the office who criticize women the most are other women, often the people who complain most about caste style hiring by Indians are other Indians.

White men don't tend to get into or even pick up on social/office politics. Especially not white male code jockeys.
