Bad idea. Get rid of it and when the Dems take over, and they will, you’ll see 13 SCOTUS judges, statehood for DC and PR, and who knows what other garbage.
They would have to amend the Constitution to pass statehood for DC. Won’t happen. PR is a different though.
The next time the Democrats get a majority in the Senate, they will eliminate the filibuster as their first order of business. It does not matter what the Republicans do. The Democrats will not extend any courtesies to the Republicans.
The system has become: "winner take all". Being nice to the Democrats in expectation that they will return that behavior is a fools' game.
We had best follow the modified "Golden Rule": "Do unto others before they do unto you".
