It will be on us to demonstrate that they are mistaken.
Spoiler: That will be accomplished by means other than clever postings on social media.
One Alinsky tactic (common to others also) is to bait the other side into an overreaction that can be painted as beyond the pale to a certain audience and win that support of that faction.
Example: Many pro-life conservatives work beside, or go to church and sit beside and are friends with illegal immigrants. These pro-lifers support the deportation of immigrants (regardless of immigration status) who are DUI drivers, Drunk n Disorderly, or worse. They do not support the deportation of their friends who are causing no problem.
Strategists on the left would like the anti-immigration voices to GO TOO FAR and divide the MAGA coalition and get those in the MAGA coalition fighting each other (rather than those on the left fighting each other.)
