In honor of Veteran’s day, I took my 1911 Officer’s model to the nearby range and ran a few dozen rounds through it. Test firing after replacing an errant (and missing) trigger lever, which rendered the weapon inoperable because it’s part of the “series 80” interlock system that will prevent the firing pin from moving forward if the trigger isn’t back.
Anyway, worked well and I’m happy again.
Sadly, on the way back, there was a boating accident and the firearm was lost forever at the bottom of the lake.
