Not going out of business...
Just looking for new bathroom locations...
What about Trailways?
Do you remember if you visited Kyushu ? That’s where I am .
Thanks, didn’t know that.
I need to find our itinerary. We definitely went to Nagasaki, and I think we may have stopped at Kagoshima on the way. I’m sure at least one stop besides Nagasaki on Kyushu, and maybe two more.
When we were docked at Nagasaki our stateroom was looking across the harbor at the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries naval shipyard. There were two very capable-looking modern LRCS frigates under construction, and two older larger destroyers (I think) in for major refits.
Beppu! I just looked at a better map, and we definitely stopped in Beppu, the hot springs town. Neat place. Wasn’t sure that was on Kyushu.
When you are 18, traveling by bus seems exciting. Not so much anymore.
I can see Mount Unzen in Nagasaki from our home in Kumamoto and right now from my hospital room ! Have never been to Beppu in Oita prefecture .
I remember looking at that inland sea on the map and thinking it quite interesting. I’m a maps guy, was very much checking the maps vs. the scenery / sailing path during the trip.
And hospital room? GWS! Prayers up!
Thanks ! 2nd time in 3 months . First time 18 days w/ nocardiosis . Found a new bacteria in my lung 2+ weeks ago and am in for that now . Today day 16 . Chance I might be released mid-week next . Also had a colonoscopy while here as some blood was found in my stool . 4 polyps were removed but don’t know results yet .
Didn’t it used to be called Continental Trailways?
When you see the melt downs and chimpout sat airports remember, those are the people who will take Greyhound because they are on the no fly list.
I liked the busses in South America. They had the “Full Kama” first class busses that even had an attendant. Catch the bus in the bus I the evening after packing a few bottles of wine or beer and a dinner. Sleep through the night, then wake up in the morning at the stop. A great way to see Chile and Argentina.
