Well, it’s a tribal res, so they’ve got the sovereignty to pull this crap.

I’m not defending it. It’s dumb. And this seizure is clearly against the spirit of the resolution they’re ‘justifying’ it with (it was explicitly meant to prevent noisy, high speed, low altitude military flights).

Personally, I think the FAA should declare the airspace off limits on the VFR and IFR charts, with no exception of any kind- not even for medevac, law enforcement, or firefighting aircraft, and encourage the tribe to stop being asses over a dinky little private plane.
