A good example is the Holocaust where millions just walked in to their deaths.
Based on the historical movie clips, the Jews outnumbered their guards considerably. You’d think they’d rush the guards, take their guns and have a good fight. Yes, many Jews would have been killed. Those running away would be killed. But that was their fate anyway. The good would have been many Nazi’s being killed and a handful of Jews escaping.
That’s why in Israel, the people who came from Europe after the war were shunned, by those who fought for Israel’s Independence, they were looked down upon because of the perception that they didn’t fight back. The subject of the Holocaust wasn’t talked about in Israel, that is, until the Eichmann Trial, where many heard for the first time the details of how it really was.
That slight sliver of hope will keep the cattle moving through the chute, to see what pasture lies beyond.
