from something on Facebook today about wild monkeys in Florida, apparently they routinely carry hepatitis and a herpes that is deadly to humans. And these have covid.

A truck hauling monkeys from Tulane University in New Orleans flipped on a Mississippi highway, freeing several large, “aggressive” monkeys.
After the wreck, which happened north of Heidelberg. Could be quite a few monkeys in Heidelberg after a while.

I remember past reports of diseased monkeys escaping. It was kept quiet till marksmen with silenced rifles killed them out.
Much like when a city has an infestation of too many deer. The marksmen would go in after dark and quietly shoot and remove the deer. Didn’t want to upset the deer lovers in town.
