I’m not a New Yorker. But I’ve kinda been following the race. Mamdani has gone full socialist, promising lots of free stuff.
- Rent freezes
- Free bus rides
- Raise the minimum wage
- Low-cost grocery stores, run by the city
Something for everybody! And all payed for by taxing the rich: Mamdani wants more taxes on wealthy individuals and on corporations.
What could possibly go wrong?

We’ll see. He’ll have to raise taxes or get money from the Federal Government (the rest of us).
Also, doesn’t he want to go easy on criminals? We’ll see how that works out.
If he’s elected, time to leave NYC.
If the higher income individuals stay in NY, then they deserve what happens.
