Down on the bayou, they’ve got a sayin'.
C’est tout!
It’s pronounced SAY-too and it’s Cajun French for, “That’s all.”
And that is all. For Brian Kelly.
Sunday was a busy day in Baton Rouge. Meetings. Phone calls. Zooms. Even a drafted resolution for a multi-million-dollar buyout for the school’s 64-year-old, fourth-year head coach.
Shall I put it in south Louisiana terms? With the arrival of gumbo weather, things got quite spicy on the bayou (I’ll see myself out).

Told y’all last week this was gonna happen. I KNOW these people around Baton Rouge and South Louisiana. They only EXIST for LSU football.
I have kinfolks down there that I’ve been around all my life. Let them get a half-dozen or more bottles of beer in them, they begin to show flecks of foam around the mouth.
And they all know how to coach football.
And I agree, it’s Scott Woodward’s fault. He needs to go, and whoever hired him.
“But even during the loss to Texas A&M the night before, conversations between LSU officials, members of the LSU board of supervisors, prominent donors and political figures took place about Kelly’s future with the program.
They continued into Sunday, culminating with a meeting at the Governor’s mansion. Landry, who appoints the LSU board of supervisors, was heavily involved in the talks about Kelly, sources said, without a new full-time school president in place.”

Nothing says “Louisiana” like the Guvnor hisself elbow deep in head coach hiring decision meetings AT HIS MANSION. Gotta love those coonasses!
Don’t think for a minute that some of the Big Money folks weren’t trying to get on the phone.
with Trump.

Big $$$$ in COLLEGE Sportball??!? Say it ain’t so! :-)
Good news. Just found out.
The man is vastly overrated. Just listen to him talking about a his team and how to play — all cliches. Things you would say to try to motivate a junior high team.
Meanwhile, Jim Mora is still at UConn...
Kellys’ a yankee....his fate was sealed before he ever set foot on campus.......hell, I was surprised they even hired him at all for that reason alone.
-
And if your not a Southerner, you may not understand all that.
Maybe they’re making room to scoop up Billy Napier.......after all.....he is a hot commodity. 🤣
That's insane.
He is 2-5 as I write this.
Both Belichick wins were against weak conference teams.
Last week, Belichick almost beat #15 Virginia (7-1).
Virginia, however, has beat (and lost to) eight currently un-ranked teams.
Belichick needs to have a transformational season in 2026, or he will be unemployed in 2027.
Napier will be back coaching the Ragin’ Cajuns next year.
Mid-season head coach openings now at Penn State, Florida and LSU that I know of. Where can these big football schools find their next national championship coaches?
I wouldn’t let that knucklehead cut my lawn
LSU’s favorite cajun—Ed Orgeron—(1 of 2 to win nattys) wants to coach again. AD Woodward fired him not long after the nat title...will there be calls to bring him back ? And might Woodward be overruled or fired ?
Might depend upon which supervisors wife Ed was diddling, iirc.
I keep wondering the same thing myself.
No, not never to O coming back to LSU. He and his ex are still fighting over the division of his payoff.
Former LSU coach Ed Orgeron’s attempt to rehear $8 million divorce ruling denied by La. Supreme Court
And Woodard needs to be fired yesterday. And whoever hired him.
