Please AWAKEN to the fact that you can’t believe what you read in the media. How does Sky News know where these boats end up? Have they physically tracked them from the time they leave Venezuela to where they finally end up? Saying they’re not coming to the US without providing hard evidence is nothing more than speculation at best, made up horse$hit at the worst.
If you want the drugs so bad, head on over there.. but stop supporting them here on this site.
Drug runners using racing hulls with FIVE 400hp motors are racing to avoid the largest market in the world for their drugs to sent them to a much smaller market. There are also other boats that carry barrels of fuel to refuel the drug boats at sea.
Catching these boats with other boats is very difficult as show by many episodes of “To Catch a Smuggler, Porto Rico and US Virgin Islands”. The boats even get away at night when CBP uses helicopters.
Taking them out from the air makes great sense. The drug runners almost exclusively operate at night. Each boat carries 3-5 tons of narcotics, some times more.

Your “journalist” is crazy. The hulls are not capable of crossing the Atlantic to get to Europe. They do not even carry enough fuel to make it from Venezuela to the Virgin Islands without stopping at a pre-postioned refueling boat. They use five outboards with souped up 400-500hp motors to do close to 60 knots across open calm waters carrying 5-10 tons of narcotics.
The boats try to get to various small islands were it is easy to lose them one radar, the race to another island until they reach Porto Rico where the drugs are shipped by various nefarious means overland to US distribution points.
