All the hoop-la???
A 7 pound battery of this type holds 6000 BTU of thermal energy while a 7 pound gallon of diesel fuel has 138,000.
Weight affects fuel milage. Wonder why we never see any costs per mile or ton miles per energy dollar trucking comparative figures on this tingle leg stuff.?

Pepsi has the answers you seek.

“Tesla Semi cost per mile for PepsiCo is about 13 to 23 cents, based on their average efficiency of 1.7 kWh per mile and a specific electricity rate. This is significantly lower than the estimated 44.7 cents per mile for diesel trucks, with a primary savings coming from lower fuel costs. PepsiCo reports an average efficiency of 1.7 kWh per mile, and a source suggests that with an electricity cost of about $0.135/kWh, the fuel cost is approximately 23 cents per mile. Other estimates put the cost even lower, at around 13 cents per mile, based on a cheaper rate of $0.0832/kWh. “

Diesel is expensive, electrons are not and this was calculated with retail rates , corporate rates in Texas are 5 cents per kWh today I just looked at them for the ERCOT grid.

Pepsi has been running full 82,000lb loads soda is mostly water so it’s dense not like Frito lay who also is using Tesla Semi they volume out before they mass out due to bags of chips being mostly air. Polar opposite to cans and two liters being all water. Water is one tonnes per square meter you max out the USA limits with single deck pallets of soda easy. A 53’ trailer has 40 square meters of floor space that’s 40 tonnes worth of soda on pallets 1.5 meters high. Trailer tare is 15,000lbs and the semi is 27,000-25000 right at the 82,000# limit for non permit loads. Yeah I hold a CDL B, P endorsement, M endorsement as well. Have since university used to drive motor coaches full of undergraduates to the rocks as a geo professor. Now I need it for my TV or to tow 10,000+ lbs like a fifth wheel.

So there is the answer you seek. PepsiCo has released a number of reports look for them.
