A while back some Southern States tried this. It didn’t work out so well. How many Americans will fight for open borders? Benefits for illegals? Cheap labor? What California, Washington and Colorado will rebel? Think Trump will let them leave the Union without war?
Not sure if you mean 1860, or if your reference is 1776 when the original 13 slave states insisted on “consent of the governed.”
Regardless, today is more of a communist take-over than either 1776 or 1860.
They may fight at the state govt level, but in all those states, once you leave the blue counties ... they would be outside the wire.
And none of those blue counties can feed themselves or generate enough power, or refine enough fuel, etc.
