I'm suspicious of this conclusion. People who eat PBMAs do so to save money, thus indicating that at least a fraction are financially distressed which might also skew these conclusions that the "meat" caused the problem. It may be true, but such psychological studies are always fraught with the difficulty of isolating variables in human behavior.
PBMAs are generally more expensive than traditional meat products (2x beef, 4x chicken and 3x pork) so their consumers aren’t doing it to save money. If they are, they may be depressed because they are bad at math. More likely they have other anxieties and issues that they medicate through eating PBMA. I’d be depressed, too, if I had to eat PBMA to keep the polar bears from dying.
a foreign owned “health food” market near me has a huge frozen food aisle it’s super expensive and almost no items in the whole aisle are actual meat. all fake meat, or vegetarian/vegan, the ice cream type desserts are full of canola and gums and other crap additives.
I skimmed this article and even though it may not answer all questions, it make sit clear to me the foreigners owning this store do NOT have American’s best interest in mind. they just want to make money while slowlycasuing health problems for people. a rate so slow no one will guess their involvement.
same as all the crap additive filled coffee shops, diners etc etc take your money and harm your health.
