I pick wild raspberries every July, and usually several gallons full.
I used several wild plants for food and drink in my 20s. I’ll never forget the rose hip tea. Perhaps consuming the seeds is what caused terrible diarrhea,at my in-law’s small house with a louver door bathroom next to the table where everyone sat. No way to camouflage that from a few feet away!
Wild raspberries in our neck of the woods are slightly smaller than the garden variety and have a much richer, deeper raspberry taste. That extra flavor makes it worth the time to go hunting for them.
