You ought to see enrollment at vet schools. Here something like 80% are female and they don’t do large animals. In fact, they don’t do small ones either for very long as they go to raising children.
We used to do a whole lot or most of treatment ourselves but now a lot of things are not OTC as you say.
MY VET DOES MOSTLY LARGE ANIMALS-—SHE HAS FOR OVER 35 YEARS.
SHE IS MOBILE-—AS FAR AS 60 MILES NORTH OF HER STABLE-—200 MILES EAST TO DO PREG CHECKS FOR RANCHERS-—200 MILES SOUTH TO DO PREG CHECKS & HORSES EVERYWHERE IN GENERAL.
I HAVE SEEN INVOICES WHERE SHE HAS DONE OVER 650 PREG CHECKS IN 2 DAYS——COWBOYS ARE FILLING & EMPTYING 3 OR MORE CHUTES & THOSE COWS NOT PREGNANT GO TO THE AUCTION. LOTS OF HELP—_BUT SHE IS THE ONLY ONE DOING THE SLEEVED UP ARM INTO THE COW!!!!
HAVE KNOWN HER SINCE 1994, AS SHE TAKES CARE OF MY HORSES.
SHE ALSO DOES GOATS/SHEEP/LLAMAS/POT PIGS......AND RANCH DOGS.
