I do not believe that foreign workers are ‘better’ than domestic, American workers...even in STEM occupations. The only reason for US companies to continue ringing this bell is their never-ending quest for cheaper labor.
Make sure the foreign folks cost just as much as domestic folks. Keep the playing field closer to level.

Our economy is built on cheaper labor. If you truly want more expensive labor, stop buying goods and services that are use cheap labor... Know why you can’t find many? It’s because the economy sustains cheap labor. Why pay an American $30 to build a widget when I can pay a foreigner $3?
