From men competing in women's sports to rows over pronouns, America has spent the past decade consumed by transgender debates.

But the frenzy may finally be fading.

A new analysis reveals that the number of young people identifying as transgender or nonbinary has plunged in recent years.

The findings suggest the rate among 18- to 22-year-olds has almost halved - from about 6 percent at its peak in 2022 to around 3 percent in 2024.

The number of young adults identifying as nonbinary saw a similar drop in just one year from 2023 to 2024, going from roughly 5 percent to about 2 percent.

Even for Professor Jean Twenge, a San Diego State University psychologist who has spent decades researching gender identity trends, the results were jarring.

She told the Daily Mail: 'I was surprised… just because in previous trends, transgender identity had steadily been increasing... It was a surprising turnaround.'

Twenge decided to conduct her analysis after Vancouver-based politics professor Eric Kaufmann sparked controversy last week with claims that 'trans identification is in free fall among the young.'

Basically this fad has run it's course.

A fad that was aggressively pushed and marketed by gay activists and physicians alike. But after over a decade, the cost to those "early adopters" is becoming clear, and the younger crowd sees what has happened to them. They are ugly freaks, look nothing like the gender they wanted, and are severely mentally ill. There are no real "success stories", only horror stories. No role models, no happiness. Only depression, misery, anger and suicide. And as the left pushes the grooming to younger and younger children, even a teenager can see the evil shining through.

You've obviously never heard of Thailand and their "ladyboys" or kathoey. It has been going on since the 1970's.

The 1980s saw a rise in LGBTQ+-related publications and films in Thailand, a trend that began in the 1970s.
The term "ladyboy" emerged during this era as a way to market these entertainers to foreign tourists. The older sailors informed us new sailors, in the early '80's when I was there, to grab a woman's crotch to make sure a woman actually was an actual woman if we intended to bed them. In the 1980s, breast implants for transgender women in Thailand were becoming more accessible as the country emerged as a medical hub for gender-affirming care. The availability of breast augmentation was part of a broader rise in cosmetic and gender-affirming surgeries, performed mostly for Thai patients, including kathoey (transgender women). The sexual perverts loved the place back then, just like they do now.
