Subsidies mean it’s not market based so how do we deliver when poor people are ‘allowed’ to die?

Health savings accounts will allow people who don’t trust their doctors to spend their own money on further tests.

Where does that leave poor people who have no savings? Perhaps minimum testing and legal protections will keep the illegals from saving $100 for a clinic visit and showing up at the emergency room without paying.

He is talking about the design of the ACA bill. They had their own internal factions that wanted more than they could get through their own committees. It was those that those items they could not get passed.

Meaning, they passed the bill with this deadline in place because their more extreme left wing types had to give that expiration to their lesser left wing types to get the 60 votes reqd in the Senate. They got exactly 60 votes, all Dem, but not all as far left as the next guy.

There is a lot of talk about 20 million people added to the ACA enrollment since 2018 or so. And 2/3 are in red states.

That’s not a good measure. The deep south is likely most of those. The right measure is how many in those deep south states voted GOP. I will bet it’s many fewer than 2/3 of 20 million.
