Beach Road Chicken was 2nd to none back in the day....but in it’s last few years it went down hill bad.

The creamed peas were spectacular.....and I don’t even like peas! Lol!

The restaurant model has changed a bit nowadays.....closest thing to home cooking around here now is Metro diner.

No, they arent't (sp). At the Popeye's in my Texas neighborhood all the employees are Hispanic. They even have novellas on the tv while they work. The chicken is just as good and spicy.

Henderson’s Chicken in south Dallas was the best I’ve ever had. I think they deliberately didn’t change the frying grease for weeks so the chicken came out darker and crispier. Harold’s Chicken in Chicago was a close second.
