I worked with a lot of Asians and generally found them to be capable employees, often some of the best. Personality wise, the Japanese tended to be fun-loving and the Chinese clannish and a bit superior. The Vietnamese and Filipinos were more like the Japanese. Of course, there were exceptions to the rule in all cases.

I love the Japanese. The Chinese? I have found to be complete a$$holes. Yes you are correct the Vietnamese and Filipinos are like the Japanese and fun loving people.

Two of the best bosses / managers I ever had were Japanese-American. Another was Pakistani. OTOH, one of the worst was also Pakistani. It’s just humanity.
