USA universities, USA non-profit laboratories, and USA federal, state, and local government agencies, can hire an unlimited number of H1B workers, that do not count against the alleged 510,000 annual H1B quota.

No one knows the total number of H1B workers at those organizations, and no one knows the total number of Green Card workers they sponsor.

“the alleged 510,000 annual H1B quota”

Remember they get to bring the whole family.

There’s also a work permit for the wifey. Back in the ‘90s, all the C programmers in the Santa Clara valley were Indian women...who were the wives.

So just assuming an average of 4 people in the family (which is way conservative), that’s actually about 2M people who are here under the quota.

Which is why Cupertino high school, nearly 100% White when it opened in 1958, is now just 10% White, and 71% “Asian”, meaning Indians/Chinese/Pak/etc.

Got that? A high school, generally considered to be one of the best in the country (made that way by heavy effort of the citizens in the ‘60s-’70s) is now overwhelmingly occupied (the correct word) by people who had absolutely NOTHING to do with it.

And just remember! No such thing as “The Great Replacement”.
