The attempts made by Putin to reach a peaceful resolution to the threat beiing made by NATO and the core of the NATO nrions to threaten Russia with further expansion of NATO provided a clear danger to Russia, which putin & Russia clearly stated in 2008, that expansion into either Ukraine of Georgia would be considered Red Lines that Russia would not iolerate. So, put it together 82nd Bragger.
The goal was to start a proxy war. At best it was to humiliate Putin if he didn';t hold firm to his Red Line proclamation
The reality is that Russia was funneled into invading Ulraine, as the only option remaining for him, and Angela Merkle's admission make it impossible to conclude otherwsie. Of course Putin annexed the Crimea, as it has strategeic national security implications for Russia.
Would you agree that the Panama Canal has strategic national importance to the U.S., and that we either need to get Panama to take away China's control over both port ends of the canal, & if they refuse, that we shpuld seize them?

Russia's first incursions into Ukraine were nothing like our invasion of Iraq to remove Saddam Hussien from power (which I admittedly supported just as you are still supporting this proxy warr). It was almost like Putin was saying okay we can have a kinetic war, but wouldn't you rather not go to that extreme? Let's stop this while we still can, and come to a peaceful solution while we still can.
He had ammassed troops upon the border and held off on the invasion for almost a year, which brought no results, so all he had left was the invasion in hopes that real solutions would appear.
The Soviet Union was decietful, this time around the west was the one being deceitful. But then again, as I look around at all of the Allied ntaions of WWII, I no longer recognize tham as being the same notions today. Everty last one of them have been undermined by wokeness, diversity & inclusion, to the point that they no longer resemble the good they were when they defeated the evil in their times.
In fact, many of them, including this nation have adopted the evil, and denied the goos a voice.
I never said that Presindet Trump, had anything to do with starting this proxy war. If anything, the theft of the 2020 election was part of the plan to take Trump out of power, in order for this proxy war ro begin.
This was done by the same people that fomented a coup d'état in the U.S. after having fomented a color revolution. It follwed the same plan used in Ukraine, by the people who did the same thing in Ukraine.
My reseach is the truth. Apparently yuou cannot handle the truth. In his 2nd term, Trump would have worked for the peaceful resolution, just as he has done in his delayed 2nd term. He realized that China was the real threat, thus he would have brought Russia into the economic fold of the world economy, to be an ally, because the altenative would have driven Putin into the arms of China seeking backing.
That is exactly what this proxy war has accomplished, and it is not to our benefit whatsoever.
So, by all means keep parroting the propaganda that has been spewed forth by the same epople trying to desroy this nation as you pound your chest trying to prove that you are the patriot, ans I am the appeaser.
Trump would have spared the lives of millions from both sides, and rendered Ukraine whole as a nation with no loss of land.
He could have done this, because he would have reached his two term limit starting on day one of his secod term.
It's really rather sad, that you cannot see this on your own, but even worse that you still do not see the truth. There has been more than enough exposure to the truth that you still ignore to this day.
In my eyes, you are part of the problem, because you stand with the evil, blinded by what you perceive as patriotism to always stand by your nation, even when it is being abussive, & evil, even to its own citizens.
