What does this tell you about the nature of the game? A fan can't count on the better teams winning because of this injury factor. Joe Burrow's injury was unpredictable. So was Nick Bosa's. Makes you want to hope the next opponents' injury list is bigger. Is that how the leagues' interest should grow?

A season-ending injury list needs to be posted weekly.

This guy Sanders was better than average. Who wants to spend months in a leg cast? For a million bucks most of us could live with it but the next man up mentality makes a game a meat grinder while the owners enjoy their wine and quiche from their perch above the field.

Will there be a reckoning? Some day perhaps. In the meantime I’m watching Alabama/Missouri.

Teams that win the Superbowl typically have fewer injuries and “get healthy during the final month of the season.

Watching THE Ohio State and Illinois here, son went to Ill. for grad school but they don't have a chance. My own closest-thing-to-an-alma-mater, PSU, is an unbearable dud. At least I don't live for football, just relax with it.

Oh, forgot. I’ll watch them both. Smart TV + fast forward through the commercials and hot bimbo sideline interviews.
