I think the British elites have decided they don’t like their subjects and have brought in the replacement team that will be more accepting of totalitarianism.

The only people who can take advantage of rule by judges are those who have the money to pay the lawyers. Yes, they can cover the costs by soaking the taxpayers if the judge so awards, but that's only if they win. Hence, suing to "stop Trump" is "a rich man's game," as is typical of the political left.

Hopefully we're draining their coffers for funding candidates.
