Agreed. And look at the article's "Although the statute has been used in the context of direct solicitations for murder (see, e.g., United States v. Talley), that doesn’t mean that the literal language does not, and should not, apply to those leftists who stir people up to a killing rage with their targeted, dehumanizing rhetoric."

This reminds me of Justice Thomas correcting people who call him an originalist. He says he's a textualist. As in, he honors the Constitution for what the text itself says (which respect to what the words meant at the time the text was put into the Constitution). He doesn't try to read into what was "meant" by the words. The text is the text.

The author says we should apply the same concept to 18 U.S. Code § 373 (as quoted above in the original post) to the Dims' persistent calls for violence. I couldn't agree more.
