Now is probably a good time to buy as used EV, if I read the reports correctly. Nothing wrong, per se, if it makes economic sense for you. I used to listen to former CA Congressman John Campbell on Hugh Hewitt’s show. He owned car dealerships before entering politics, and is still a total gear head. He owns a Tesla, a Mach E, and a Fisker. He likes driving them because he loves cars. Fine. Personally you couldn’t pay me to own one.
My son really wants one now after seeing mine. ( He hates driving as much as I do.) But since the tax credit is gone I advised him to give it a few weeks. There may be a new lower cost model coming out as soon as tomorrow and a huge software update that should be a big assist to FSD is hitting soon. If you go used I’d want to make sure it is new enough to handle the new software package.
