The National Football League (NFL) continues to show utter disrespect for the fans who buy tickets at exorbitant prices and watch their games on a variety of platforms. It is the fans who spend their hard-earned dollars that allows NFL executives and players to earn outrageous salaries. Yet, how many insults can these fans endure before it becomes too much?
According to a study by Remington Research Group, 64% of Americans believe that professional football players should not use the NFL “as a stage for their political views.” Nevertheless, in 2016, the NFL championed the right of Colin Kaepernick and other players to kneel as the National Anthem was performed before games.
In the aftermath of the death of George Floyd in 2020, the NFL sanctioned “social justice” endzone messages such as “Inspire Change,” “Stop Hate,” and “End Racism.” These messages have continued for six NFL seasons with no end in sight.
Even though the United States has one National Anthem, the song “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” also known as the “Black National Anthem,” has been incorporated into the NFL’s pre-game activities and the Super Bowl ever since 2020.

NFL, NFL. I remember the NFL. From about 8 years ago.
I like football. So I am not going to stop watching the NFL. I was never a fan of light beer, so I can’t boycott Bud Light. But I will use the remote to avoid their commercial messages. And the last few Super Bowls I’ve switched to the puppy bowl. Cute little critters playing.
I hate football. Not fun to watch a bunch of big bruisers crashing into each other. No surprise that their politics suck.
i don’t know of any football fan that watches the halftime show...
bathroom, beer run, nacho retrofitting... no time to waste watching some no bueno bunnito
Dead to me as well. Besides the game is some kind of whiffleball version of the game we used to play as kids.
I think it was the Pepsi Bowl when I came up with the Chris “Anything-for-a-Buckskin” Berman tag for their announcer!
(Berman Buckskin was a large leather outfitter in Minneapolis way back when.)
The NFLseems to be killing off their business. Now, as a potential viewer (which I really am not & never have been) this would do it for me if I felt any patriotism at all. I don’t think it’s too late for them to start with wholesome made-in-America half time entertainment, but they better get get started now & then continue in it if they want to salvage whatever they have left. Who knows? I pretty much ignore football of any kind, but I might go for the half-time show if it was wotrhwhile.
