No worries! I ain’t movin anymore. I’ll go on extended vacations from here on out.
You may not believe this, but Indiana is a nice place. It’s OFF the political radar (bonus #1). For that I am truly grateful. No one knows how nice it is to LIVE here. Fine by me. There are almost as many lakes and rivers here as Florida has (bonus #2). No Gulf, and no Atlantic Ocean, but a Great Lake is nearly a Gulf, without the hurricane threat (bonus #3). Four legitimate seasons (bonus #4)! Shall I go on? No alligators, but Gator fans (bonus # 5)!
I’ll keep my (mildly) Southern accent and ALL of my Southern ways. The Midwestern folks are very genuine people, as are many Southerners. And probably many Americans from every region are also this genuine. The good news is that, like Southerners, Midwesterners are NOT hoity toity types. I will never fit in with the hoity toities. I have no desire to rub elbows with them. I’m sure the feeling is mutual, which I am happy to oblige.
