Getting foreigners into America has always been a top priority for the Catholic church.
There’s a reason for this…remittances to the Vatican are greater from wealthier countries. Put a lot of Catholics from Latin America and Africa into the USA and the Vatican coffers get fatter because they earn more money than they did in their homelands.
