I had hoped this would garner some interest out there.

It may be an obscure data point, but it’s high on the symbolic reference scale.

Besides, America’s Independence (”We’re bustin’ outta here!”) Day in 1776 was on the 17th of Tammuz, the fast day for when the Romans breached the walls of JerUSAlem.

“According to the Mishnah,[2] five calamities befell the Jewish people on this day:”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seventeenth_of_Tammuz#History

In concert with all of that, is the word from John Adams, that

“The Second Day of July 1776, will be the most memorable Epocha, in the History of America.”

https://www.masshist.org/digitaladams/archive/doc?id=L17760703jasecond

Of note because in 2026, just ahead of America’s 250th birthday, July 2nd is the 17th of Tammuz, thus linking the 2nd and the 4th.

Perhaps it will turn out in the end, that John Adams was not mistaken in his enthusiasm for July 2nd, only that he’d got the year wrong.

You sparked a memory with regards to some of my younger relatives.

There’s exactly 104 days in between birthdays for them and that’s not significant, but their dad used to watch that Disney cartoon Phineas and Ferb with them.

And they had a theme song and started with 104 days of summer vacation, which one knows is way too many days of summer vacation these days.
:)

But, that would leave 250 days left in a 354 lunar year where ‘school’ would be open for those cartoon characters..

America 250- maybe an opportunity to learn us something.
