Yes. Who caps baby teeth?
Yogi, I believe this question is addressed to you?
It is now common practice. Medicaid type State plans will pay for it, so pediatric dentists figured out they can get even richer. Supposedly, it preserves the teeth so they don’t have to be pulled and affect positioning of permanent teeth. Why can’t they just fill the teeth? Much lower reimbursement.
Never heard of such a thing. My nephew is 10 and one of his teeth is a little bit crooked on the top the way its coming out and the dentist told him no biggie its going to come out anyway with your baby teeth..Ive NEVER heard of anyone capping a baby tooth its going to come out anyway
The simple answer is these kids need to eat solid food.
One of my sisters thought it was good idea to always give her first son Kool-Aid in his bottles. When his teeth came in, they were completely rotten and had to be capped.
She didn’t make that mistake on her next son

[Yes. Who caps baby teeth?]
Our 2-3 daughter had a small cavity between her front teeth. The pediatric dentist wanted to cap them. She really started pressuring us with worse case scenarios and it started to seem she was threatening to report us. We changed dentist and the next one mentioned fixing the tooth but then agreed it would be falling out soon anyway. I can see parents going along with what ever the “professional” was selling.
