If any class of workers needed the protection of a union it was STEM workers. Unfortunately there is not a STEM union. STEM workers wages were depressed and they were replaced over the last 30 years because of ZERO bargaining power.
If any group needed a lobby to fight unfair work visas it was STEM workers.
As someone who worked the last 30 years as a software engineer, I can attest to that!
Yet I got people on here defending H1bs as a method to drive down the minimum wage and keep out unions.
